Dental Implants
You’ve lost a tooth, or perhaps several. Chewing is difficult and smiling, well it may feel uncomfortable. There is no question that your quality of life can change.
Dental implants are the solution to renewing your smile, your chewing ability, and your overall quality of life.
Dental Implant Placement With 3D Cone Beam Imaging
We make use of advanced 3D Cone Beam Imaging for optimum results in implant placement.
- Takes a detailed 3D image of the jaw
- Helps determine exact implant positioning
- Identifies nerves, sinuses, and bone structure
- Helps detect any abnormalities in the bone
- Allows precise treatment planning
This technology enables accurate diagnosis and treatment planning in a single visit.
WHAT IS A Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a small titanium screw that replaces the root portion of a missing tooth. It is placed in the upper or lower jaw.
Due to titanium’s biocompatibility, the implant fuses with the bone and becomes a strong anchor for a replacement tooth.
Dental implants can replace single or multiple missing teeth.
REASONS TO CONSIDER Dental Implant
When both the tooth and root are damaged, a dental implant with a ceramic crown is the best permanent replacement.
It:
- Looks natural
- Functions like a real tooth
- Provides a long-term solution
THE DENTAL IMPLANT Procedure
The dental implant process involves implant placement and restoration of the final tooth. At the first appointment, 3D imaging is used to evaluate bone structure and determine implant suitability.
At the first appointment, we use 3D Cone Beam Imaging to determine if the jaw bone is adequate to hold the titanium posts.
Within minutes of the 3D CT Scan, we are able to offer patients an immediate virtual diagnosis and treatment plan-all in one visit.
Treatment with dental implants requires meticulous planning for best results.
Implants are placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia, then left to heal and fuse for 2–6 months before the final restoration is attached.
An abutment is placed on the implant either immediately or after healing. It connects the implant to the crown, which replaces the visible part of the tooth.
The custom crown is cemented or screwed onto the abutment to permanently keep it in place and should be indistinguishable from your natural teeth.
IS OLD AGE A Problem?
Age is not usually a limiting factor. Overall health is more important.
If you are healthy enough for tooth extraction, you are likely suitable for dental implants. A full evaluation is required to confirm candidacy.
HOW WILL DENTAL IMPLANTS Affect My Life?
Dental implant-supported teeth look, feel, and function like natural teeth.
They allow you to:
- Eat and drink normally
- Speak clearly
- Smile confidently
They significantly improve quality of life and self-esteem.
